Dale Earnhardt Junior Is Out Of The Chase.

Road racing does not fit the limited skills
of Dale Earnhardt Jr. and he proved it emphatically with a crisp
26th place finish at the Helluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at the
Glen last night thus continuing his predicted late season slide
and pretty cementing his place out of the Chase for the Sprint
Cup for the second year in a row.
Earnhardt never cracked the top twenty and after Juan Pablo
Montoya took home the victory Junior was not available for
comment.
"That
team is a mess," said a garage insider. "The crew chief knows
he's a goner at the end of the season and the rest of the guys
know the problem ain't the crew chief, it's the driver. Someone
needs to get Junior's attention because he only listens to
himself."
There has been speculation that Tony Eury Sr. is quietly being
courted to come into the fold, but most people think that
situation is one Eury wants none of.
Meanwhile, Kurt Busch, Marcos Ambrose, AJ Allmendinger and Carl
Edwards closed out the top five in an exciting race that closed
out the road racing in 2010.
